CV

For Hanna Nitsch, the central questions of artistic multimedia practice include questions of identity, of self-perception and perception by others, of object and subject, of role patterns and stereotypes and the resulting critique of posthuman body design in the age of digital and social media. Where is the authenticity of the body subject in the age of capitalist mass objectification of the body? Is there an inaccessible last space of the "inside"?

Among the central questions of my artistic practice are those of role patterns and stereotypes, my role as an artist, woman and mother in society, questions of self-perception and perception by others, as well as the resulting criticism of posthuman body design in the age of digital and social media. Where is the authenticity of the body subject in the age of capitalist mass dressing of the body? Is there an inaccessible last space of the "inside"?
