When the world is in trouble, everyone has to help find solutions - including art.

Bianca Kennedy (*1989 in Leipzig) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and completed her master class with Klaus von Bruch in 2017. Scholarships have taken her to North America, Barcelona, Athens and Tokyo, among other places.

The Swan Collective was initiated by Felix Kraus (*1986 in Munich). In order to be able to flexibly mix all his artistic interests, Kraus has created five alter-egos who form the collective.

Kennedy + Swan recently exhibited together at the Museum der bildenden Künste in Leipzig at "Zero Waste" in cooperation with the Federal Environment Agency, but have also shown their work at the world-renowned SUNDANCE Film Festival in Utah, USA. They also won 1st place at the Toronto New Wave Festival 2019 for their collaborative work "ANIMALIA SUM". Their works have also made guest appearances in Barcelona, Berlin and Basel.

At LIFE 4.0, e.artis contemporary is showing, among other things, the work series "A Closed Mouth Gathers No Feet". It shows the effects of a global famine and the subsequent change in diet. When food becomes scarce, we have to rethink! Bianca Kennedy & The Swan Collective provide the solution right away. Insects! Protein and high-quality unsaturated fatty acids from locusts, crickets and buffalo worms.

Some of them can already be found on supermarket shelves today and their following is growing daily. The series of works deals with both the position of humans in this scenario and the point of view of the insect itself. The homocentric perspective is unceremoniously turned around and expanded.

Through augmented reality, the works of the collective can easily be expanded into a multimedia spectacle with the camera of the smartphone. The prints on the walls come to life, revealing new information, animations and expanded temporal levels and inviting the viewer to become active himself. Classic art consumption is rethought: from passive viewing to active discovery.
